Homemade Hair Conditioner for Curly Hair
You’ll only need 2 ingredients for this curly hair conditioner, It will make your hair shiny and well-behaved, keeping your curls under control and nourished.
Olive Oil or Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
* Optional: 2 Drops of Peppermint Essential Oil
Mix the oil with the honey into a bowl until they make a paste. Work the paste through your hair from the roots to the tip.
Wrap up in shower cap and leave for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, rinse with warm water (always in the shower, not in the bath). Don’t worry, you won’t end up with greasy hair, it’s going to look great and feel great. If you don’t like the smell of olive oil, choose coconut oil, which smells heavenly along with the honey.
1 Empty bottle
Unscented liquid castile soap
A few drops of an essential oil that you like – Lavender, Peppermint, Rosemary (for dark hair), Chamomile (for blonde hair), Patchouli (for dandruff)
2 tbsp Pure Aloe Vera Gel or raw honey
Fill your bottle with equal parts distilled water and Castile soap. Then add a few drops of your favourite essential oil and the Aloe Vera gel.
Gently shake the bottle to mix all ingredients and you’re ready to lather. Depending on where you shop, a 100ml bottle will cost you less than £1 to make.
- 1 Empty 200ml bottle
- 90ml of Distilled water
- 90ml of Unscented liquid castile soap
- 2ml of 100% pure Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca alternifolia)
- 2ml of 100% pure Eucalyptus Oil (Eucalyptus globulus)
- 3 tbsp Pure Aloe Vera Gel
Fill your bottle with equal parts distilled water and Castile soap. Then add the essential oils and the Aloe Vera gel. Gently shake the bottle to mix all ingredients and you’re ready to lather.
